GL Trading Solutions LLC serves as the U.S. Agent of record for facilities registered with the FDA from outside the United States. Flat fee, no renewal surprises, and a real person in Miami who answers when the FDA writes.

If your facility is located outside the United States and is registered with the FDA, you are required to designate a U.S. Agent with a physical presence in the country. The agent is the FDA’s point of contact for your facility: the agency communicates through them, and inspections and questions arrive at their address. This is a requirement of the registration itself, not an optional service you buy separately.

GL Trading Solutions LLC is a private regulatory compliance company based in Miami, not affiliated with the FDA, and we act as that agent on your behalf.

Pricing

One flat fee. It covers the full service term, and nothing else is added to it.

Both cover U.S. Agent representation for the full term: we are listed as your agent of record, we receive and forward FDA correspondence, and we respond to the agency when it contacts us about your facility.

The FDA does not charge a fee to register or renew a food facility. What you pay here is our service fee, not a government fee. If you are registering a medical device establishment, the FDA does charge its own annual establishment registration fee, and that fee is paid to the agency directly and separately from this.

What we actually do

Being someone’s U.S. Agent is a standing obligation, not a one-time filing. As your agent, GL Trading Solutions LLC is listed in your FDA registration as the point of contact; we receive communications the FDA sends about your facility and forward them to you; we assist the agency in scheduling inspections when it asks; and we respond to questions about your facility or its imported products when the FDA raises them.

What an agent cannot do is speak for the FDA. We do not approve, certify, or clear anything, and no private company can. The FDA does not issue “FDA registration certificates” — that document does not exist, although it is one of the most common things exporters are told to ask for.

Change of agent

Changing your U.S. Agent does not require your current agent’s permission. The facility owner or operator updates the registration and designates the new agent, and the change takes effect once the new agent confirms the designation in the FDA system.

This matters because the most common reason companies come to us is that they cannot reach their current agent, or the agent went silent at renewal and is holding the registration login. GL Trading Solutions LLC takes over the designation from that position regularly. You do not need the old agent to cooperate, and you do not need to start a new registration.

How to start

Send your company’s legal name, the physical address of the facility, a contact person, and the FDA registration number if you already have one. We confirm what we received, register the designation, and send you written confirmation of the agent of record for your files.

Ten business days is typical for our side of the work, not a guaranteed deadline: the total depends on the FDA’s own processing and on how complete the information arrives.

Limits

GL Trading Solutions LLC is a private compliance company and is not affiliated with the FDA, the USDA, or the TTB. We do not provide legal advice, we are not customs brokers, and we do not issue documents on any agency’s behalf. If your question is whether a product may legally enter the United States, that is a question for a customs broker or an attorney, not for your U.S. Agent.
